Giant Aneurysmal Bone Cyst of the Mandibular Condyle Mimicking Parotid Tumor: A Case Report and 22-Year Follow-Up

Background: Aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC) is a rare benign non-odontogenic that occurs most commonly in the posterior mandible. Occurrence mandibular condyle rare. We present case was initially misdiagnosed as parotid gland tumor and later found to be an ABC. Case Presentation: A 19-year-old man presents with painless firm swelling on right preauricular region. Panoramic imaging revealed radiolucent lesion ascending ramus of mandible complete erosion bony surface losing configuration. The excised, curetted. split-thickness left clavicular joint graft harvested for reconstruction pathology report confirmed diagnosis aneurysmal cyst. patient followed 22 years without any evidence recurrence. Conclusions: Tumors jaws cystic lesions may mimic salivary pathology. Appropriate clinical radiographic examination should utilized exclude this from differential diagnosis. Complete surgical excision provide patients good results.
